Objectives
The programme meets the following objectives:
1. Understand
the key ingredients for project success
2. Scope a project
and produce a clear project plan that makes best use of limited
resources
3. Set clear and
realistic project objectives and identify key success criteria.
4. Utilise simple
scheduling techniques.
5. Monitor and
measure progress throughout the project and evaluate their own
performance upon completion of the work.
6. Tackle project
work with more confidence and balance the demands of project(s)
work with their day-to-day role more effectively. Communicate
more effectively with project team members and other employees
whose contributions are essential to the successful progress and
completion of the work but who are not responsible for achieving
the project outcome. Resolve conflicts.
Projects are
designed to improve the ongoing operations of the business and
any organisation going through a period of change will have a lot
of projects going on. The proposed programme will emphasise the
styles of thinking that project managers need in an organisation
undergoing change. Programme design This is a 1 day programme.
Course members apply the course content to a project they are
currently working on. There are exercises and discussions and
input on best practise. The course is accompanied by a 30 page
reference document.
